Ski Mountaineering or Splitboarding to One of the Highest Peaks in Trentino Alto Adige with Overnight Stay at Rifugio Martello
DESCRIPTION
Mount Cevedale (3,769m) is part of the Ortles-Cevedale group in the Stelvio National Park and marks the boundary between Lombardy, Trentino, and Alto Adige.
It is the third highest peak in the group, after Ortles and Gran Zebrù. In addition to the main peak, it has two secondary peaks, the most famous being Zufallspitze (3,757m), another interesting mountaineering destination.
There are several routes to reach the summit, with options to start from Trentino (Val di Pejo), Alto Adige (Val Martello or Solda), or from the Lombardy side (Santa Caterina Valfurva).
Cevedale is one of the peaks along the 13 Peaks Crossing, one of the longest and most spectacular ridge routes in the Alps. This 17 km tour above 3,000m passes through the most important peaks of the Stelvio National Park and is typically completed over several days, staying at various huts along the way.
