It leads to Mount Mezzocorona, climbing the steep canyon equipped with ropes and ladders, passing near refreshing
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The starting point is from the Ischia area of Mezzocorona, near the fishermen's pond. In just a few minutes, you'll reach the start of the via ferrata, at the base of a first waterfall and a vertical wall that can be climbed using two long ladders or bypassed with an easier path.
The itinerary continues with ledges and steps until entering a fascinating gallery that leads to the cool, shaded canyon, equipped with ladders and ropes, which you climb while listening to the roaring sound of numerous waterfalls.
Once out of the gorge, there is a final uphill section of the trail to reach the forest road, which in about 40 minutes of walking will bring you to Mount Mezzocorona.
Here, you can rest and take a well-deserved break at one of the restaurants before taking the cable car back to the village.
To conclude the day in the best way, before descending, don't miss a visit to the panoramic Skywalk and the dizzying suspension bridge.
NB: The via ferrata is considered easy, but the elevation gain is certainly demanding (700m+).
