The Brenta Dolomites, known for the unmistakable skyline created by the soaring, vertical spires against the sky, are crossed by an extensive network of trails and via ferratas. The combination of some of these forms the famous Via delle Bocchette
DESCRIPTION
The Via delle Bocchette crosses the Brenta group from North to South, connecting the huts and various valleys with a unique multi-day route. It passes between the spires, along narrow ledges that traverse vertical walls and narrow passes, the so-called “bocche” (mouths), which give the name to this equipped trail.
The idea was conceived in the 1930s with the goal of creating a trail that, remaining at altitude and using the natural ledges, would connect the various huts of the Brenta, allowing hikers to visit places that until then were only accessible to skilled mountaineers.
The result was a masterpiece, a high-altitude crossing that has become famous worldwide.
The full route consists of 5 stages and involves overnight stays in various mountain huts, but it can also be completed in part, choosing a segment based on ability and available time.
